YEAR ONE:

  • Began undergraduate research with Dr. Megan Povelones on mitochondrial dynamics in Trypanosoma brucei.

  • Participated in the passing of university legislation through Student Government Association and Council of Commonwealth Student Governments

  • Represented my campus as a Lion Ambassador and Tour Guide

  • Represented Penn State and presented work at a Bruce Springsteen conference at Monmouth University, New Jersey

  • Featured in Penn State News headlined "Brandywine professor, students present at international Springsteen symposium"

  • Represented and the Povelones research lab and presented a poster at PAraCon, Pennsylvania Parasitology Conference

  • Featured in Penn State News headlined "Brandywine team talks parasitology at the Huck Center for Malaria Research"

YEAR TWO:​

  • Featured in a Penn State News student profile as "Brandywinner of the Week"

  • Studied abroad at National University of Singapore

  • Featured in Penn State News headlined "Penn State Brandywine science scholar studies abroad in Singapore"

  • Represented and the Povelones research lab and presented a poster at PAraCon, Pennsylvania Parasitology Conference

  • Featured in Penn State News headlined "Brandywine sophomore teaches Chinese students from her living room"

  • President of Campus Garden Club

  • Represented my campus as a Lion Ambassador and Tour Guide

  • Volunteered for STEM Options, a STEM outreach program for 7th and 9th grade girls

YEAR THREE:

  • Began research with Dr. Charles Anderson on cell wall and stomata dynamic in Arabidopsis

  • Took science education classes that led to designing and teaching a six week high school biology course for Upward Bound in the summer of 2020

  • A featured panelist for STEM Options, a STEM outreach program for 7th and 9th grade girls

  • Designed and presented a science experiment show with Science and the Bible Club

YEAR FOUR:

  • Soon to be a published coauthor of a paper titled “2,3-diphenyl-2,3-dihydro-4H-1,3-thiaza-4 one derivatives inhibit growth and block cytokinesis in kinetoplastid parasites"

  • Represented my campus as a Lion Ambassador and Tour Guide

  • Secretary of Campus Christian Fellowship

  • Featured in Penn State News headlined "A Penn State Love Story"
